This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Prepare intricate partnership and corporate tax returns that involve transactional tax matters, such as partner and shareholder sales and redemptions, asset sales, part-sale/part-rollover transactions, and both taxable and tax-free reorganizations.
β’ Manage 704(b) waterfall allocations, 704(c) tracking, and 743(b)/734(b) basis adjustments.
β’ Prepare returns and work papers related to complex book-to-tax adjustments and multi-state tax exposure.
β’ Assist with 1031 exchange transactions and the associated reporting.
β’ Serve clients within the private equity and family office sectors as these relationships continue to expand.
β’ Collaborate with senior team members on technical research and issue resolution, with opportunities to assume review responsibilities as the position develops.
β’ Oversee multiple engagements concurrently, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
β’ A minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience with substantial exposure to complex partnership and/or transactional tax work.
β’ Proficient understanding of Subchapter K, including 704(b)/(c) and 743(b)/734(b) concepts.
β’ Experience with transactional tax matters such as M&A, reorganizations, or similar areas is highly preferred.
β’ Multi-state tax experience is an advantage.
β’ CPA or EA certification is preferred.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
β’ Capability to work independently, prioritize competing tasks, and communicate effectively on technical matters.
