This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Receive, assess, and document invoices for services, materials, assets, and other tax-related documents pertinent to the company's operations.
• Confirm issuer and recipient details, including CNPJ and branch information, transaction types, amounts, taxes, and additional data necessary for bookkeeping.
• Ensure congruence among tax documents, purchase orders, contracts, and proof of material receipt or service acceptance.
• Evaluate the application of tax withholdings, such as ISS, INSS, IRRF, and federal contributions, based on the nature of the service and the engagement terms.
• Confirm the applicable tax classifications and codes for transactions, including CFOP, CST, NCM, and service codes as relevant.
• Input and post documents into SAP, ensuring the accuracy of general ledger accounts, cost centers, accounting periods, and due dates.
• Recognize discrepancies and collaborate on their resolution with suppliers and internal teams, following up on pending documents and necessary corrections.
• Assist in reviewing supplier master data and the tax configurations used for document entries.
• Manage the document flow from receipt to release, facilitating the payment process in accordance with approvals and internal protocols.
• Engage in the monthly tax closure by reconciling received documents, posted records, and outstanding bookkeeping items.
• Provide information and documentation for tax calculations, ancillary tax obligations, and audit inquiries.
• Contribute to enhancing tax desk controls and processes, aiming to minimize errors, delays, and rework.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Experience in receiving tax documents, reviewing invoices, and bookkeeping, especially for procured services.
• Practical understanding of tax withholdings and the ability to determine the applicable tax treatment for incoming transactions.
• Hands-on experience with SAP regarding tax document entry processes and querying purchase orders, suppliers, and records.
• Familiarity with electronic tax documents, including NF-e, NFS-e, and their associated files and supporting documents.
• Insight into the integration of tax receipt, procurement, accounting, and accounts payable functions.
• Understanding of tax closing procedures and the influence of bookkeeping on tax calculations and ancillary tax obligations.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel for controls, reviews, and cross-referencing data.
• Experience working in service provider companies and organizations with multiple branches.
• Experience managing service invoices issued across different municipalities.
• Knowledge of SAP MM and FI modules and how they integrate with receipt, bookkeeping, and payment.
• Familiarity with tools for capturing, validating, and automating tax documents.
