Senior Systems Solutions Architect – Cloud, Virtualization & AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design and develop hybrid and cloud infrastructure solutions utilizing Microsoft Azure and associated services.

• Create and implement identity and access solutions through Microsoft Entra ID, encompassing authentication, SSO, conditional access, and MFA.

• Formulate infrastructure strategies focused on scalability, resilience, and security.

• Lead initiatives for cloud migration, modernization, and optimization.

• Design high-availability architectures for critical workloads.

• Oversee comprehensive enterprise data center solution design across compute, storage, networking, virtualization, backup, and hybrid/multi-cloud environments.

• Convert business and technical requirements into forward-looking architectures that align with client objectives and technology strategies.

• Architect and combine multi-vendor solutions, including Cisco, HPE, Dell EMC, VMware, Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Veeam.

• Generate HLD/LLD designs, architecture diagrams, and solution blueprints.

• Incorporate principles of hybrid cloud, automation, HCI, SDDC, and orchestration.

• Design VMware and Hyper-V virtualization platforms.

• Create infrastructure solutions for compute, storage, backup/recovery, and enterprise servers.

• Assist in modernizing legacy systems into hybrid or cloud environments.

• Enhance performance and resource utilization across virtualized settings.

• Assess and integrate AI-driven services, automation, and intelligent data platforms.

• Develop infrastructure for AI workloads, analytics, and modern applications.

• Consult with clients regarding AI readiness, governance, and infrastructure needs.

• Support deployed infrastructure solutions within client environments.

• Troubleshoot server, virtualization, storage, identity, and cloud service issues.

• Monitor system health while implementing updates, patches, and performance enhancements.

• Offer technical guidance and escalation support to clients and internal teams.

• Conduct discovery sessions and produce architecture documentation and implementation strategies.

• Present technical recommendations to CIOs, IT Directors, and executive stakeholders.

• Act as a trusted technical advisor for long-term technology roadmaps.

• Collaborate with sales teams on solution architecture, technical validation, proposals, and RFP responses.

• Assist with proof-of-concept initiatives and pilot deployments.

• Work alongside engineering teams to ensure successful implementation.

• Develop technical documentation, architecture guides, and operational procedures.

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and suggest modernization opportunities.

• Contribute to internal best practices and knowledge-sharing efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 6 years of experience in designing and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure solutions.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server and Microsoft Azure.

• Practical experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), specifically in identity governance and security controls.

• Familiarity with virtualization platforms like VMware and/or Hyper-V.

• Experience in supporting enterprise servers, storage, backup/recovery, and hybrid environments.

• Solid understanding of system architecture, networking fundamentals, and security best practices.

• Exceptional troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation abilities.

• Capability to work independently in a remote setting.

• Preferred: experience with California SLED clients.

• Preferred: Microsoft Azure Architect, Microsoft identity/security, VMware, or equivalent certifications.

• Preferred: experience supporting enterprise-scale or multi-client environments.
