This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Act as the Tier 3 escalation contact for the service desk, addressing the most intricate issues related to infrastructure, cloud, and security.
β’ Provide mentorship and training to Tier 1/2 technicians; create technical documentation and runbooks to enhance the team's overall proficiency.
β’ Take ownership of root-cause analysis for recurring or significant incidents.
β’ Develop comprehensive technical solutions for clients that encompass Microsoft 365, Azure, identity/security, networking, and endpoint management.
β’ Collaborate with sales and leadership to outline new client engagements, contribute to proposals/SOWs, and estimate resource requirements.
β’ Lead the technical onboarding and migration processes for new clients into the managed environment.
β’ Establish and uphold architecture standards and reference designs that the team can consistently utilize.
β’ Design and manage Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, including identity (Entra ID/Azure AD, conditional access), Intune/endpoint management, Exchange Online, SharePoint/OneDrive, and Azure infrastructure.
β’ Implement and uphold security measures across the Microsoft ecosystem: MFA/conditional access, endpoint protection, DLP, and identity governance.
β’ Assist in aligning client environments with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, HITRUST) in collaboration with the security team.
β’ Develop automation solutions using PowerShell (and other scripting languages) to enhance provisioning, monitoring, and remediation across client environments.
β’ Create and build AI-assisted tools and agents β utilizing platforms like Claude β to automate documentation, ticket triage, reporting, and other repetitive workflows.
β’ Continuously seek opportunities to minimize manual ticket volume through automation and self-service initiatives.
β’ Address broader infrastructure requirements: server administration (Windows Server, Active Directory), virtualization, backup/disaster recovery, and essential networking (firewalls, switching, VPN).
β’ Engage in on-call/escalation rotation for critical incidents as required.
β’ Must have experience in a scaled MSP environment, supporting multiple clients/environments simultaneously β not limited to a single-organization IT background.
β’ Extensive, hands-on expertise in administering and architecting Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365/O365.
β’ Strong background in security, including identity and access management, endpoint security, conditional access, and general security best practices.
β’ Proficient scripting skills, especially in PowerShell.
β’ Experience with or a strong interest in developing automation and AI agents using tools like Claude.
β’ Demonstrated experience as an escalation point for a service desk or support team.
β’ Proven track record in designing technical solutions for clients, including scoping and documentation.
β’ Excellent communication skills β capable of engaging directly with clients on technical solutions, not just internally.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
β’ Experience working with healthcare or life sciences clients.
β’ Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Security+, or similar).
β’ Familiarity with additional scripting/automation languages (e.g., Python).
β’ Experience with RMM/PSA platforms commonly used in MSP environments (e.g., ConnectWise, NinjaOne).
