Senior Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, manage, and implement processes using the RSA Archer tools platform; act as the security engineering subject matter expert responsible for planning, designing, and architecting a comprehensive multi-technology cyber solution.

• Conduct investigations to identify root causes of security issues, facilitating troubleshooting and problem resolution to restore services; develop, present, and implement effective remediation recommendations.

• Offer guidance and support for security activities while fostering relationships with key stakeholders; document and update management with information regarding security information and event management.

• Remotely manage and troubleshoot workstations and servers; provide expert research and analysis in support of expanding programs and areas of responsibility.

• Evaluate information assurance and security requirements based on the analysis of user needs, policy, regulatory, and resource demands; apply expertise to both government and commercial common user systems, as well as specialized systems requiring unique security features and procedures.

• Analyze security features for system architectures; undertake management and coordination tasks; provide the agency with knowledge and guidance in compliance with NIST, FISMA, Agency Information Security and Privacy, and Cloud Guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience exhibiting strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities in security information and event management.

• Minimum of 5 years of security experience, with at least 2 years directly involved in security engineering activities.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Capability to secure a Public Trust government security clearance.

• Familiarity with NIST, FISMA, and Cloud Environments.

• Security+ Certification.
