This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Design, develop, test, train, implement, and support Epic applications.
• Enhance clinical and operational workflows while converting business requirements into Epic configurations, integrations, and reporting.
• Collaborate with operational leaders, end users, architects, technical leads, engineers, IT teams, clinical teams, and managed service providers.
• Drive process improvement initiatives for application management and Epic training.
• Collect and refine requirements, map workflows, and perform gap analyses.
• Create and maintain specifications, decision logs, design documents, configuration documentation, and process documentation.
• Oversee smaller system implementation and upgrade projects using waterfall or agile methodologies.
• Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on best practices.
• Configure Epic records, master files, profiles, rules, security classes, and workflows.
• Develop and execute unit, integrated, and user acceptance test plans; address defects and log test evidence.
• Validate interfaces, printing, reporting, downstream workflows, and regression coverage.
• Coordinate release management, environment transitions, and downtime procedures.
• Provide go-live and post-live hypercare support, including rounding, office hours, tip sheets, and on-site assistance.
• Manage service requests and incidents, ensure compliance with SLAs, and conduct triage and root-cause analysis.
• Support Epic, Workday, Kronos, third-party imaging, AI, and additional applications.
• Collaborate on HL7, FHIR, PDF, CCD/CCDA, Clarity/Caboodle, registry, and operational reporting workflows.
• Assist with CMS and Joint Commission readiness, audits, privacy/security controls, and ITIL-aligned processes.
• Design and oversee customized training programs and the CareConnect curriculum.
• Maintain training environments and communicate system releases and upgrades.
• Manage, prioritize, assign, and resolve end-user training requests and incidents.
• Document incidents and resolutions while implementing preventative support improvements.
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5-7 years of experience in system analysis and support in a healthcare setting.
• Alternatively, 10+ years of experience in system analysis and support within a healthcare environment in absence of a degree.
• Familiarity with Epic applications and healthcare workflows (clinical, revenue cycle, or IT experience).
• Strong skills in requirements gathering, workflow design, and testing.
• Knowledge of ITIL, change control, SDLC practices, system governance, and waterfall/agile project methodologies.
• Ability to effectively communicate with clinical and operational stakeholders, as well as managed service providers, and produce clear documentation.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams.
• Epic Training Environment Build certified with 3+ years of experience.
• Hold 2 Epic Application Principal Trainer certifications.
• Current Epic Certification or proficiency in one or more relevant module(s) preferred for Application Build role.
• 3+ years of Epic build and configuration experience preferred for Application Build role.
• Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
• Familiarity with system integration, HL7, FHIR, and interface testing preferred.
• Exposure to SQL/Clarity, Caboodle, SlicerDicer, or reporting tools preferred.
• Previous work in patient access, billing, coding, finance, or clinical operations preferred.
• ITIL Foundation certification is desired but not mandatory.
• Certifications in one or more Epic applications are desired.
• Experience in a large healthcare system or hospital setting is preferred.
• Experience with other healthcare applications and systems is desirable.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards is preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure is desired.
• Experience with business intelligence and analytics tools is preferred.
• An advanced degree in a related field is a plus.
• Full-time schedule with 40 scheduled hours per week.
• Day shift.
