Senior Systems Administrator, Okta

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Oversee the activities of fellow system administrators to ensure efficient day-to-day system management.

• Coordinate and manage the configuration and functioning of DLA's Okta system.

• Investigate and resolve software program and connectivity issues for end users.

• Perform capacity and performance assessments and offer recommendations for system configuration changes and upgrades.

• Enhance the efficiency and accuracy of system administrators through the implementation of automated tools and scripts.

• Create procedures for system administrators and conduct training and skills evaluations for the team.

• Deliver training sessions for end users.

• Advise on technology strategies to ensure alignment with the organizational vision.

• Provide both local and remote maintenance support for various operational systems within the DLA Okta environment.

• Utilize advanced technical expertise in application networking, including load balancing applications and ensuring fault tolerance.

• Assist with general maintenance, upgrades, and the installation of new servers and applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

• A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in supporting Okta environments with increasing responsibilities in the IT sector.

• Proven experience in deploying and maintaining Okta environments for large enterprises.

• Proficient in configuring Okta integrations to collaborate with enterprise technologies such as Active Directory, firewalls, APIs, Zero Trust endpoints, etc.

• A relevant Okta certification from a nationally recognized technical authority, such as Okta.

• Must hold IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 (T3) at the time of proposal submission.
