This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Honduras.

📋 Description

• Responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and performance of all assigned activities across Operating Systems (Linux & Windows) at L2 & L3 levels as reinforcement to the current team.

• Plan maintenance activities including server firmware upgrades, part replacements, and rack maintenance.

• Coordinate cabling and interconnection activities to provide solutions that meet service deployment needs in alignment with Millicom's cabling and connectivity policies.

• Support automation and delegation of tasks.

• Analyze health, consumption, and performance reports.

• Review periodic capacity and demand reports to generate recommendations and/or work plans.

• Plan the allocation and implementation of technological resources (hardware assembly, cabling, rack installation).

• Provide support for both standard and complex facilities.

• Manage capacity and sourcing of servers and parts.

• Oversee licensing and logical resources.

• Plan the allocation of space and electrical requirements.

• Manage and follow up on opening cases with suppliers.

• Design, coordinate, and execute medium-complexity work plans.

• Execute non-standard changes and requirements.

• Diagnose medium-difficulty incidents.

• Document and execute mid-difficulty grade windows.

• Report and propose improvements on platforms.

• Manage alarms.

• Respond to feasibility inquiries regarding new features, platforms, or projects.

• Manage hardware and software assets including operating systems.

• Diagnose and resolve second-level complexity incidents (medium and high).

• Execute changes and meet non-standard requirements.

• Perform hardening or secure managed platform tasks.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.

• Demonstrable work experience in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of UNIX/Linux and Windows-based environments.

• Knowledge of operating systems: Redhat, Windows, SUSE, Debian.

• Virtualization experience with VMware.

• Backup knowledge with IDPA, Veeam Backup.

• Monitoring experience with Zabbix.

• Scripting/patching experience with Ansible, The Foreman, ELK.

• Familiarity with AWS.
