This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
β’ Design and develop cutting-edge multi-tenant cloud SDN control and data plane software utilizing OVS, OVN, and OpenFlow.
β’ Create Infrastructure-as-a-Service virtual network orchestration and services through gRPC and REST for BMaaS, VMaaS, and Kubernetes.
β’ Contribute to upstream projects related to OVN-Kubernetes and other open-source initiatives.
β’ Develop software focused on network observability, encompassing monitoring, telemetry, intelligent metering, and performance analysis.
β’ Operate and support SDN solutions based on OVS-OVN within expansive NVIDIA AI Cloud environments.
β’ Build and sustain monitoring, alerting, distributed tracing, and dashboards for the SDN stack.
β’ Design, improve, and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines across Linux host networking, OVS, OVN, and Kubernetes CNIs.
β’ Apply GitOps methodologies and securely integrate with cloud infrastructure.
β’ Enhance reliability through incident management, resource monitoring, and performance optimization.
β’ Collaborate with SRE, DevOps, and network engineering teams on ensuring production readiness and operational tools.
β’ BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
β’ Over 5 years of demonstrated experience in software development for large-scale distributed systems.
β’ Expertise in OVN, OVS, OpenFlow, and contemporary network protocols.
β’ Proficient programming skills in C and Go; advanced scripting abilities in Bash and Python.
β’ Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes, with hands-on experience in deploying and supporting CNIs (OVN-Kubernetes).
β’ Practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and deployment tools such as Ansible, Terraform, ArgoCD, and Flux.
β’ Experience in designing and managing complex, multi-stage CI/CD pipelines.
β’ Hands-on experience in developing secure, high-performance services utilizing gRPC and REST with TLS and robust authentication.
β’ Strong understanding of datacenter routing, switching, and networking for Linux hosts/VMs.
β’ Contributions to open-source projects, particularly OVS, OVN, OVN-Kubernetes, or other Kubernetes networking initiatives.
β’ Experience with hardware acceleration (GPU, DPU, or similar) for networking.
β’ Practical experience with major cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid/multi-cloud deployments.
β’ SRE/DevOps expertise, including on-call responsibilities, incident management, operations focused on service reliability, and production ownership.
β’ Experience with observability platforms and tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, OpenTelemetry, and ELK.
