Senior System Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Manage and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers.

• Provide support for Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware environments.

• Identify and resolve issues with Dell and Supermicro servers.

• Address customer incidents related to VPS, dedicated servers, virtualization, and connectivity.

• Oversee Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, backups, and monitoring tasks.

• Support data center infrastructure, including storage and networking.

• Take part in upgrades, migrations, and projects aimed at improving infrastructure.

• Ensure clear technical documentation is maintained and adhere to change-management protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in systems, infrastructure, or data center management.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux.

• Proficient in Hyper-V and VMware with practical experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with Dell and/or Supermicro servers.

• Solid troubleshooting skills for servers and virtualization.

• Experience in data centers, hosting, managed services, or any 24/7 infrastructure environment.

• Good understanding of networking, storage, backups, and disaster recovery processes.

• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.

• Reliable, organized, and capable of taking ownership of issues until resolved.

• Engagement as an independent contractor.

• Availability of approximately 10–15 hours per week.

• Experience with VPS, dedicated hosting, or IaaS is a plus.

• Familiarity with iDRAC, IPMI, SAN/NAS, or Veeam is advantageous.

• Knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ansible is a plus.

• Experience in fintech, trading, telecom, broadcast, or other mission-critical environments is a plus.
