Senior Symitar Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Analyze, design, integrate, test, implement, administer, and provide support for the Symitar core banking system and associated Host Services applications.

• Maintain, troubleshoot, configure, optimize, and manage Symitar production and development environments.

• Oversee user, computer, and server access.

• Assist with Symitar releases, upgrades, service packs, mandates, data purges, scheduled downtime, integrations, data feeds, file transfers, vendor applications, and related Host Services applications.

• Collaborate with third-party vendors and internal IT teams to resolve technical challenges.

• Design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot PowerOn programs and PowerFrame Docs solutions.

• Administer and support both In-House OpCon and EASE-hosted OpCon environments, including automated processing, scheduling, file transfers, workflows, and integrations.

• Identify opportunities for automating manual processes and enhancing operational efficiency.

• Conduct SQL querying and data analysis using ARCU and/or Databricks for troubleshooting, reporting, reconciliation, research, trend analysis, and operational improvements.

• Monitor ARCU Data Load processes and resolve data issues.

• Supervise performance, provide advanced second-level support, perform root-cause analysis, prioritize issues, and implement sustainable solutions.

• Collaborate with business units to gather requirements, pinpoint process improvements, and lead or assist Symitar-related projects.

• Offer technical recommendations regarding scope, risks, dependencies, testing, deployment, and vendor integrations.

• Support the Host Services Manager with technical, operational, project, vendor, and administrative tasks.

• Act as a technical subject matter expert for Symitar, PowerOn, PowerFrame Docs, OpCon, OnBase, integrations, automation, and related technologies.

• Adhere to security, access-control, change-management, and operational procedures.

• Assist with audits, risk assessments, control testing, regulatory reporting, document retention, and compliance requirements.

• Mentor analysts and business partners; promote cross-training, knowledge sharing, documentation, and knowledgebase practices.

• Evaluate technical solutions and advocate for automation, modern development practices, and emerging technologies.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of seven years of relevant experience in information systems, core banking, or financial technology.

• Extensive experience with Jack Henry Symitar.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

• Proficiency in Symitar, PowerOn, PowerFrame Docs, SQL/ARCU and/or Databricks, OpCon, OnBase, EDS/SDS, integrations, automation, production support, and troubleshooting.

• Certifications or formal training in Symitar/Jack Henry, Hyland OnBase, and Continuous OpCon are required or preferred based on role requirements.

• Capability to lead technical projects, upgrades, hotfixes, mandates, compliance-sensitive tasks, vendor coordination, stakeholder communication, team mentorship, and manage competing priorities.

• Programming or scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar technologies.

• Experience in credit unions or financial institutions, including knowledge of operational, regulatory, or compliance-related processes.

• Familiarity with Salesforce, Boomi Flow, Power BI, ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence, cloud migrations, or IT portfolio planning.

• Proficiency in written and spoken English using proper spelling and grammar.

• Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages using a 10-key.

• Competence with Windows-based applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• Moderate keyboard skills at 40 wpm.

• Strong customer service skills.

• Ability to quickly learn, adapt to change, communicate and collaborate at all levels, solve problems, make decisions, and prioritize effectively.

• Extensive computer usage, appropriate vision and dexterity, with the ability to occasionally push, pull, or carry up to 20 pounds.

• Ability to communicate and present via telephone or digital communication tools like Zoom and Teams.

• Some travel may be required.
