This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Develop and execute Supplier Oversight Plans to facilitate the completion of critical document submissions, manufacturing activities, surveillance points (witness and hold), inspections, and tests, ensuring vendor adherence to essential requirements.
• Coordinate the efforts of Westinghouse functions that drive supplier performance, including Supply Chain (buyers and category managers), Design Engineering, and Supplier Quality Oversight.
• Identify and escalate supplier-related issues, risks, and quality incidents.
• Foster the swift resolution of issues by coordinating activities, issuing communications, and identifying collaborators to ensure the timely identification of affected products, issue disposition, and implementation of corrective actions.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics (On-Time Delivery, Quality issues, Deviation Notices) for assigned suppliers to proactively detect negative performance trends and implement causal analysis, corrective actions, and Supplier Improvement Plans to address issues.
• Assess procurement (supplier) risks, gathering partner input, and utilizing resources to develop risk mitigation plans for supply security.
• Oversee both internal and external (supplier) corrective action requests, performing root cause analyses and verifying the completion of preventative and corrective actions.
• Conduct technical evaluations of suppliers to assess their manufacturing capabilities, capacity, process controls, compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards, and associated risks.
• Identify discrepancies between supplier capabilities and Westinghouse technical/quality requirements to establish and implement development plans.
• Lead supplier development and qualification initiatives for new products, supplier improvement projects, and cost reduction efforts, including conducting supplier development activities to enhance or refine suppliers' manufacturing processes and quality management systems to meet Westinghouse standards.
• Review and assess supplier process documents, process capability analyses, measurement system analyses, and provide input for design for manufacturability.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to ensure the integrity and clarity of engineering drawing requirements and that all expectations are effectively communicated to support suppliers.
• Aid in the implementation of Value Analysis / Value Engineering, Design for Assembly, and Design for Manufacturing principles during the design phase.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 4+ years of progressive experience in engineering/manufacturing.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, forming, mechanical assembly, NDE, inspection, and testing.
• Experience conducting process capability analysis (Cpk) and qualification.
• Working knowledge of Manufacturing and Quality Plans, PFMEAs.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Proficient in authoring technical documents or operating procedures.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications in accordance with ASME standards.
• Experience with nuclear products and standards is preferred.
