Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Casting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and manage the mechanical casting commodities and subcategories to implement supplier production strategies (from NPI to full production) across Anduril's various business lines.

• Act as a force multiplier for the Supply Chain team and the overall commodity strategy, exhibiting a strong sense of ownership, proactivity, technical excellence, creativity, self-direction, and courage.

• Evaluate suppliers' production capabilities, factory layout, facilities, and workforce for inclusion in the Approved Supplier List.

• Assist Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE) in ensuring that suppliers comprehend and comply with the quality criteria for parts as established by SQE.

• Manage the establishment of new production tooling and lines, as well as development at supplier sites, to ensure that materials, processes, and tools meet product performance, quality criteria (set by SQE), and demand requirements.

• Oversee capacity expansion readiness and production ramp-up at supplier facilities.

• Develop and implement process performance and controls (SPC) reviews at supplier locations.

• Identify and pursue product and process enhancements, as well as factory layout optimizations at supplier sites, to minimize part costs, reduce supply risks, eliminate potential defects, and improve cycle times throughout the product lifecycle.

• Collaborate with SQE on root cause task forces at Anduril by working alongside the Supply Chain team and suppliers, and take responsibility for completing root cause corrective and preventative actions at the supplier level.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field.

• Over 6 years of experience in supplier quality and industrialization within a manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in specific category technical expertise relevant to mechanical casting manufacturing, IPC standards, CAD, and GD&T.

• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.

• Capability to work onsite at Anduril locations, including Costa Mesa, CA.
