Senior Subcontract Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and qualify suppliers and contractors

• Negotiate terms and conditions effectively

• Implement subcontracts and sourcing agreements

• Create bid packages and strategic sourcing agreements

• Process purchase orders and expedite order fulfillment

• Draft non-disclosure agreements

• Monitor and manage subcontract funding in relation to project progress

• Finalize service orders once contractual and procedural obligations are fulfilled

• Keep subcontract records in accordance with company policy

• Prepare analyses of commercial bids and recommendations for awards

• Oversee subcontractor performance and participate in status meetings

• Maintain the supplier database and manage the prequalification process for suppliers and contractors

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with suppliers and contractors

• Interpret project scopes, statements of work, and schedules

• Conduct and coordinate risk and price assessments on potential subcontractors

• Adhere to company standards while organizing and executing contracts

• Negotiate contract terms and oversee payment conditions


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory

• A Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution is strongly preferred

• Minimum of 15 years of pertinent professional experience in Supply Chain Management, particularly in subcontract administration

• Experience in an EPC environment is essential

• Background in petrochemical, pulp and paper, power, and manufacturing sectors is required

• Familiarity with subcontracts in an EPC environment is necessary

• Capability to conduct and coordinate risk and price analysis on prospective subcontractors

• Willingness to learn and apply company standards

• Strong organizational skills to effectively execute contracts

• Fluency in contract language and familiarity with commercial terms and conditions

• Understanding of contract law and the UCC is beneficial

• Exceptional attention to detail is crucial

• Proficient in negotiating contract terms with suppliers and contractors

• Comprehensive knowledge of payment terms is required

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential

• Proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software like Microsoft Dynamics

• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods

• Must possess authorization to work in the United States
