Senior Structural Engineer – Substation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as the lead engineer and primary client liaison for substation power delivery projects.

• Support marketing and promotional initiatives to attract new regional clients.

• Prepare, review, and P.E. seal technical calculation reports and construction documents that align with client and NV5 standards.

• Advance your career through peer-learning by sharing insights with experienced engineers and providing training and mentorship to junior staff.

• Travel to client locations as required.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff.

⛳️ Requirements

• A B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program is mandatory.

• An M.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred.

• Over 7 years of progressive experience in structural design engineering, specifically within substation or transmission line projects.

• Additional structural design experience (such as bridges or building design) is advantageous.

• Proficiency with at least one of the following software: RISA, MathCAD, and/or the PLS software suite.

• Experience in physical substation design is highly preferred.

• A Professional Engineering (P.E.) license is required.
