Senior Structural Engineer – Building Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead the structural design for a variety of intricate projects, incorporating innovative engineering solutions across multiple materials such as steel, concrete, wood, and masonry.

• Mentor and supervise junior engineers, encouraging their skill enhancement and professional development.

• Conduct advanced structural analyses and deliver findings through clear and comprehensive reports.

• Manage projects effectively, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of projects.

• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in structural engineering and apply cutting-edge practices.

• Interact with clients to assess technical requirements, offer strategic insights, and support business development by showcasing Olsson’s technical proficiency and expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

• Capability to manage complex projects while mentoring engineering teams.

• A master’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis is preferred.

• At least 8 years of experience in structural engineering is required (preferably 12+ years), focusing on facilities design and project leadership.

• A Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.

• Proficiency in structural design and drafting software; experience with Autodesk Revit is preferred.

• Familiarity with Post Tensioned Concrete Design is advantageous.
