This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
β’ Collaborate with product engineers to establish product specifications, assess manufacturability, and address other technical aspects of products while assisting in their development.
β’ Conduct fundamental engineering calculations as needed by customers or the engineering department.
β’ Engage with customers concerning technical questions via phone or email, and support both customers and sales representatives in product selection and design by offering technical expertise along with 2D drawings or 3D models.
β’ Aid the engineering team by producing drawings, models, and tailoring products to meet specific requirements.
β’ Speak confidently with customers to ascertain their needs and provide support to the sales team.
β’ Educate and train customers on the basics of bearing and power transmission products, either virtually or onsite.
β’ Assist in preparing quotes for special projects and modified standard units.
β’ Bachelorβs Degree in Engineering, ideally in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
β’ Experience in mechanical engineering.
β’ Background in bearings and mechanical power transmission products and solutions.
β’ Proficient in 2D drawing software and 3D modeling software (preferably SolidWorks).
β’ Capability to perform engineering calculations such as moment analysis on 2D systems, thermal expansion, bearing service life, and other standard engineering computations.
β’ Experience with the implementation of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
β’ Willingness to travel as needed (up to 30%).
