Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager – Reusable Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will manage all supplier relations at Vytal, encompassing strategy and negotiations.

• Your primary focus will be on identifying suitable partners for hardware and cups, fostering long-lasting relationships, and ensuring that quality, cost, and capacity align with our growth targets.

• You will serve as the main point of contact between our key suppliers and the internal Operations, Product, and Finance teams.

• You will take ownership of all supplier relationships, particularly with key suppliers for hardware and cups.

• You will lead pricing and contract negotiations to achieve sustainable and scalable terms.

• You will establish long-term partnerships with strategic suppliers.

• You will evaluate and enhance the supplier portfolio in terms of performance, quality, and reliability.

• You will be responsible for purchase prices, production costs, tooling expenses, and economies of scale.

• You will conduct lifecycle cost analyses for cups and hardware components.

• You will provide decision-making inputs for internal stakeholders.

• You will develop and manage a globally scalable sourcing strategy.

• You will identify and evaluate new suppliers and production sites.

• You will manage risks associated with international supply chains, including dependencies, alternatives, and potential failure scenarios.

• You will assess materials for durability, food safety, dishwasher compatibility, and recyclability.

• You will collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams regarding material decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain, preferably for physical products such as packaging, hardware, or consumer goods.

• Demonstrated success in negotiations with international manufacturers.

• A strong grasp of cost structures and production logic.

• Experience with international supply chains and their associated risks.

• An entrepreneurial mindset, decisive decision-making skills, and a hands-on approach.

• Bonus: experience in circular economy or sustainability, a background in engineering or operations, or experience in scale-ups.
