This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +12 more states.
• Facilitate the onboarding of new external partners, ensuring they comply with quality, cost, and regulatory standards.
• Oversee the supplier selection process, negotiate contracts, and cultivate supplier relationships to secure advantageous terms and conditions.
• Supervise daily workflows and offer guidance on processes and special handling items related to significant business expenses.
• Manage the daily performance of existing and prospective external partnerships.
• Set work priorities for current and future external partnerships and assess their performance.
• Track partner productivity levels to ensure that company objectives are achieved.
• Maintain performance criteria for current and future external partnerships as specified in contracts, tracking these criteria against actual performance.
• Generate monthly performance summaries for external partners.
• Assess the knowledge and skill levels of staffing within current and future external partnerships to guarantee performance aligns with GEHA’s business needs.
• Prepare analyses to evaluate partner contract performance for the approval of monthly invoices.
• Address grievances and relationship issues with partners as necessary, escalating to the Director if situations escalate.
• Provide comprehensive training for current and future external partnerships on new GEHA processes and additional training on existing procedures.
• Oversee recruitment for current and future external partnerships to ensure adequate staffing to support GEHA’s business needs.
• Collaborate with management to develop metrics and processes that ensure the ongoing review and management of partner relationships.
• Work with executives to evaluate and analyze new vendor relationships and manage the end-to-end RFP process.
• Create an end-to-end RFP process applicable to all contracts, including renewal frequency and other relevant details.
• 6-9 years of experience demonstrating expertise in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Proven success in developing and executing strategic sourcing strategies that achieve cost savings and enhance processes.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to effectively communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in sourcing tools and software applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential for supervisory, leadership, and training responsibilities.
• Business analysis experience in identifying needs and determining effective solutions.
• Project management abilities with a capacity to adapt to changing plans and priorities.
