Senior Strategic Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business leaders to gain insights into strategic goals, challenges, and opportunities.

• Convert business inquiries into clearly defined analytical questions.

• Examine intricate financial, operational, and strategic issues.

• Create actionable recommendations and identify key business performance indicators.

• Design and uphold financial, operational, profitability, and decision-support models.

• Acquire, integrate, transform, validate, and analyze data utilizing SQL, Excel, Snowflake, dbt, Python, and other tools.

• Conduct analyses at the company, regional, market, customer, and business levels.

• Prepare executive-level presentations to convey findings, recommendations, and their business implications.

• Develop scalable analytical tools, datasets, and reporting solutions.

• Enhance business processes, KPIs, reports, dashboards, and analytical models.

• Oversee medium to large analytical projects with minimal supervision.

• Offer analytical guidance to fellow analysts and contribute to team capabilities and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Analytics, Accounting, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Over 6 years of experience in financial analysis, business analysis, strategic analysis, FP&A, analytics, consulting, or a related field.

• Outstanding business acumen with a solid understanding of financial and operational business drivers.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including experience in developing analytical models and performing complex analyses.

• Strong SQL skills, encompassing data sourcing, joining, transforming, and analysis.

• Familiarity with, or a willingness to quickly learn, Snowflake, dbt, Git/GitHub, and Python.

• Proficient in PowerPoint with strong presentation development skills.

• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar business intelligence and data visualization tools.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong project management and organizational capabilities.

• Ability to work independently with limited supervision while collaborating across business functions.

• High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and analytical integrity.

• Preferred experience in FP&A, corporate strategy, pricing, profitability analysis, operations finance, or strategic decision support.

• Preferred experience in developing business cases, profitability models, forecasts, dashboards, KPIs, management reporting, or automated decision-support tools.

• Preferred experience in presenting analyses or recommendations to senior or executive leadership.
