Senior Strategic Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business leaders to gain insights into strategic objectives, challenges, and opportunities.

• Convert business requirements into clearly defined analytical inquiries.

• Examine intricate financial, operational, and strategic challenges.

• Formulate actionable recommendations that align with company strategy and aid in decision-making.

• Discover performance drivers and insights from intricate datasets.

• Create and uphold financial, operational, profitability, and decision-support models.

• Gather, merge, transform, validate, and analyze data using SQL, Excel, Snowflake, dbt, Python, and other analytical tools.

• Conduct analyses at the company, regional, market, customer, and business levels.

• Prepare presentations suitable for executives and convey findings, recommendations, and business implications.

• Design scalable analytical tools, datasets, and reporting solutions.

• Enhance business processes, KPIs, reports, dashboards, and analytical models.

• Oversee medium to large analytical projects with minimal supervision.

• Offer analytical guidance and support to fellow analysts.

• Contribute to the enhancement of team capabilities and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Analytics, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.

• Over 6 years of experience in financial analysis, business analysis, strategic analysis, FP&A, analytics, consulting, or a related field.

• Exceptional business acumen with a strong understanding of financial and operational drivers.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to structure ambiguous business queries and formulate analytical strategies.

• Advanced skills in Excel with experience in developing analytical models and conducting complex analyses.

• Proficient in SQL, including independent sourcing, joining, transforming, and analyzing data.

• Familiarity with or the ability to rapidly learn Snowflake, dbt, Git/GitHub, and Python.

• Strong skills in PowerPoint and presentation creation.

• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar business intelligence and data visualization tools.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong project management and organizational capabilities.

• Ability to work independently with limited supervision while collaborating across Finance, Operations, Sales, and additional functions.

• High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and analytical integrity.

• Preferred experience in FP&A, corporate strategy, pricing, profitability analysis, operations finance, or strategic decision support.

• Preferred experience in developing business cases, profitability models, forecasts, dashboards, KPIs, management reporting, or automated decision-support tools.

• Preferred experience in presenting analyses or recommendations to senior or executive leadership.
