
Senior Strategic Account Manager – Production Animal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Creation of a Strategic Account Business Plan aimed at fostering new and profitable business growth for designated production animal strategic accounts at MWI Animal Health, which includes specific sales strategies, goals, and tactics.
• Capability to identify opportunities and provide solutions with existing clients while also establishing new business connections with emerging partners.
• Strong collaboration with sales territory managers, regional account managers, and regional directors on corporate account strategy and its execution in the field.
• Proactive pursuit of qualified and prioritized business opportunities, focusing on key identified targets.
• Securing new business through effective consultative sales and negotiation techniques.
• Liaison with internal departments at MWI Animal Health, such as account set-up, pricing, logistics, sourcing, marketing, and production animal support to enhance customer experience and improve operational efficiency.
• Continuous monitoring of the current market landscape for opportunities and challenges related to new business development, with the transfer of pertinent information to relevant MWI Animal Health associates.
• Necessary business-related travel as required.
• Coordination and management of the proposal process, including document templates, quality assurance, document management, and compliance with contracts.
• Participation in select industry events as a positive representative of MWI Animal Health.
• At least 10 years of experience in animal health sales, pharmaceutical sales, marketing, or biotechnology.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Management; a post-graduate degree is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to network and cultivate new business relationships.
• In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical distribution industry.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical capabilities.
• Proficient in effective oral and written communication.
• Strong organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to address issues effectively and efficiently.
• Outstanding presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office applications.
