This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
⢠Support the Statutory Reporting team with daily responsibilities associated with the preparation of statutory financial statements, reconciliations, process improvements, and accounting and reporting projects.
⢠Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory financial statements for accurate and timely submission to the NAIC and relevant state regulatory bodies.
⢠Create supplemental filings that accompany quarterly and annual statutory financial statements.
⢠Aid in Department/Division of Insurance audits by preparing necessary schedules, addressing inquiries, and meeting strict deadlines.
⢠Assist in testing NetSuite developments and other ad hoc reports for the preparation of statutory financial statements.
⢠Help with filing statutory financial statements using vendor software and ensure submissions are made to the NAIC and individual states.
⢠Lead and engage in various ad hoc Statutory Reporting and Finance initiatives, including reinsurance accounting.
⢠Contribute to the review of specific statutory financial statements and supplemental filings.
⢠Be available for overtime during peak reporting times as required.
⢠Report directly to the Senior Statutory Reporting Manager.
⢠Experience in reinsurance accounting, encompassing everything from implementation to reporting.
⢠Proficiency in advanced Excel, including the use of complex formulas.
⢠Practical experience with NetSuite (ERP) and Workiva (Wdesk) is highly advantageous.
⢠Proven history of success and delivery in a dynamic and intricate financial reporting landscape.
⢠A proactive team player who is motivated, self-starting, shows strong initiative, and focuses on customer service.
⢠Keen attention to detail and a consistent ability to meet deadlines.
⢠Exceptional documentation and organizational capabilities.
⢠Capacity to follow policies and procedures accurately.
⢠Must possess analytical skills, be hands-on, and be expected to contribute immediately.
⢠Ability to independently juggle multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
⢠Skill in identifying necessary actions to complete tasks and achieve results.
⢠Uphold high ethical standards and maintain the confidentiality of financial and sensitive information in line with professional and regulatory demands.
⢠Capability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
⢠Experience within the healthcare and insurance sectors.
⢠Familiarity with reviewing statutory filings.
⢠Exposure to employing AI tools for automating complex financial reconciliations, enhancing the accuracy of statutory filings, and streamlining data collection across various jurisdictions.
