Senior Staff Technical Marketing Analyst

📋 Description

• Design and uphold quantitative models based on HDD architecture, physics, component functionality, and system-level interactions.

• Guarantee that models incorporate cost estimates, sourcing implications, technology limitations, engineering tolerances, and manufacturing processes from sourced components to final assembly and delivery.

• Generate forecasts that encompass nominal expectations, sensitivities, and scenario analyses linked to the actual HDD market, customer needs, design parameters, and factory assumptions.

• Offer insights into the impact of technology choices on factory throughput, scrap rates, bottlenecks, testing coverage, and long-term cost efficiency.

• Construct detailed bottom-up HDD cost models covering mechanical, magnetic, electronic, and production aspects.

• Oversee competitive cost teardown, cost modeling, and scenario analysis as a primary responsibility.

• Analyze industry differences in HDD technology and convey the resulting cost, performance, sourcing, and market benefits.

• Collaborate with business pricing teams and portfolio managers to deliver technical insights that enhance business and competitive evaluations.

• Convert analytical results into actionable inputs for roadmaps, pricing strategies, warranty, and customer engagements.

• Foster data-driven discussions with engineering, operations, manufacturing, and technology strategy teams.

• Impact decisions through technical credibility and data-oriented insights.

• Keep models and assumptions well-documented and transparent.

• Create scalable analytical frameworks to facilitate long-term decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in positions involving technical modeling, systems analysis, or technology strategy.

• In-depth knowledge of HDD architecture, physics, and manufacturing methodologies.

• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities, with experience in developing and maintaining structured models.

• Robust understanding of the HDD competitive landscape, with the capability to translate this understanding into market competitiveness and cost/value analysis.

• Capability to maintain and enhance a competitive cost analysis model while conducting scenario evaluations.

• Proficiency in working effectively with ambiguous requirements and incomplete information.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior stakeholders or external clients.

• Proven ability to collaborate and exert influence across a range of technical and business groups, including engineering, operations, sourcing, marketing, finance, and sales.
