Senior Principal Data Scientist, AEC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and implement predictive models to analyze and forecast user behavior.

• Define and establish standards for data instrumentation, telemetry, and observability.

• Develop frameworks and prototypes aimed at analyzing and enhancing user experiences driven by AI agents.

• Collaborate effectively with product and engineering teams.

• Create analytical models and frameworks for reporting.

• Guide experimentation strategies, including A/B testing methodologies.

• Provide technical leadership and insights on data architecture and system scalability.

• Convert ambiguous product inquiries into structured analytical programs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in data science or applied machine learning.

• Significant background in product analytics or user behavior modeling.

• Proven ability to conduct applied research effectively.

• Stay updated with emerging AI technologies (such as LLMs, agentic systems, MCP, tool-use frameworks, and RAG architectures).

• Familiarity with modern AI evaluation methods for AI-powered and agentic systems.

• Extensive experience in predictive modeling, including classification, survival analysis, sequence models, or lifetime value/propensity frameworks.

• Proficiency in designing instrumentation and event schemas for complex, stateful systems.

• Demonstrated capability to define metrics and measurement frameworks for new product domains.

• Experience working on or in proximity to AI/ML-powered products.

• Strong communication skills to translate modeling work into product and business language suitable for executive levels.
