Senior Staff Engineer, Communication & Connectivity

📋 Description

• Collaborating closely with diverse teams such as design, product marketing, prototyping, and others to create an exceptional, engaging, and scalable communication experience between guests and hosts.

• Conceptualizing and establishing a robust foundation for reaching out to hosts in need through effective notifications.

• Investigating opportunities to enhance our partner integration platform by utilizing advanced AI technology.

• Grasping how significant technical choices will influence business outcomes and delivering frameworks and platforms that enhance delivery with high quality to achieve those outcomes.

• Conducting design and code reviews while providing guidance and mentorship to fellow engineers at Airbnb.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of relevant experience in a dynamic, fast-paced tech environment.

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in building, leading, and architecting full-stack products and systems at an enterprise scale that yield significant impact.

• Familiarity with implementing modern artificial intelligence technologies in products and development processes.

• Demonstrated technical leadership: practical experience in leading project teams, establishing technical direction and strategy, and collaborating across functions with Product and Data Science teams.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a track record of working across teams and organizations on technical projects.
