Design Engineering Lead – LAN/WLAN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take full responsibility for the comprehensive design of Fortinet LAN/WLAN solutions in enterprise settings.

• Create both high-level and low-level designs (HLD/LLD) that adhere to customer specifications and industry best practices.

• Oversee technical governance, serve as the design authority, and engage in solution assurance initiatives.

• Facilitate transformation delivery by providing guidance for remote design and on-site implementation.

• Collaborate closely with Project Management, GNOC, and Service Delivery teams to ensure a smooth transition into Business as Usual (BAU).

• Offer technical leadership for IMACD, optimization, and continuous improvement efforts.

• Interact with both internal and customer stakeholders to convert business needs into technical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing Fortinet LAN/WLAN solutions, including FortiGate, FortiSwitch, and FortiAP.

• Profound understanding of enterprise networking, encompassing routing, switching, security, and SD-WAN.

• Experience working within global managed service environments.

• Capacity to function as a design authority and make architectural choices.

• Excellent documentation skills, covering HLD/LLD, standards, and governance artifacts.

• Experience aiding the transition from project Day-1 to managed services Day-2.

• Fortinet certifications, such as NSE4–NSE7 or equivalent, are preferred.

• Experience in multi-vendor environments is a plus.

• Familiarity with global delivery models and distributed engineering teams is advantageous.
