Senior Staff Architect – Software Architecture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Offer strategic leadership and technical expertise to both IT and business teams regarding contemporary software architecture.

• Define and promote the adoption of modern architectural principles such as microservices, API-first design, and cloud-native development.

• Create enterprise architecture standards, reference architectures, and reusable design patterns for distributed and Java-based systems.

• Lead the architecture and design of scalable applications, focusing on service decomposition, API contracts, and integration patterns.

• Architect and oversee the development of cloud-native solutions utilizing AWS services.

• Design and manage API ecosystems while facilitating event-driven and loosely coupled service architectures.

• Establish standards for monitoring, performance, and reliability; lead troubleshooting efforts and continuous optimization processes.

• Ensure that solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and governance frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 10 years of experience in software development and architecture.

• Profound expertise in software architecture, microservices, distributed systems, and API design.

• Significant experience with Java-based development frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot).

• Demonstrated experience in designing cloud-native solutions on AWS.

• Strong understanding of security, scalability, and performance optimization in distributed systems.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
