Senior Staff AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage production-quality agentic AI systems for enterprise identity security.

• Create and deliver multi-agent systems that include orchestration, tool utilization, planning loops, memory, and failure recovery mechanisms.

• Define architectural patterns, scalability guidelines, and strategic objectives for autonomous enterprise security.

• Construct agents that reason over Access Graph, Access Reviews, permissions, and risk data.

• Take ownership of observability, human-in-the-loop controls, and compliance infrastructure to ensure the safety of autonomous systems.

• Create precise, low-latency retrieval solutions using RAG pipelines, semantic search, re-ranking techniques, and evaluation methods.

• Collaborate with product, platform, and graph teams to enhance system performance.

• Integrate cutting-edge models and assess trade-offs related to cost, latency, and capabilities.

• Elevate technical standards through architectural decisions, code reviews, and mentoring in agentic design and production AI methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience.

• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.

• Practical experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining production agentic systems.

• Familiarity with multi-agent orchestration, tool invocation, planning loops, memory management, and failure recovery strategies.

• Proficiency in production-grade Python.

• Experience with systems programming languages such as Go, Java, or C++ is advantageous.

• Hands-on experience with leading AI SDKs, including those from Anthropic, Google, or OpenAI.

• Knowledge of prompt engineering, structured outputs, and model evaluation in production environments.

• Understanding of production RAG and retrieval methodologies, including vector stores, hybrid search, and retrieval evaluation metrics.

• Proven track record of technical leadership, ownership of architecture, enhancement of code quality, and mentoring.

• Advanced specialization in search and retrieval at scale or MLOps/model observability is preferred.

• Published research or contributions to open-source projects in agentic systems or retrieval are a plus.

• Experience with LLM fine-tuning or inference optimization in production settings is desirable.
