This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Act as a liaison for Supply Chain/Material Management concerning business unit programs and initiatives for new business development.
• Represent procurement in Integrated Program Teams and facilitate cross-functional resolution of material-related challenges.
• Formulate supply chain strategies, plans, and processes that align with overall Program Management objectives.
• Serve as the customer interface for activities related to supply chain programs.
• Compile and occasionally lead the material requirements, budgets, and deliverables for assigned programs.
• Create and present monthly forecasts for material costs and quarterly projections for Estimate at Completion.
• Guide cross-functional material teams, collaborating with suppliers, supply chain leadership, program management, functional leaders, and customers.
• Oversee time and resources across multiple programs while prioritizing critical-path activities.
• Formulate and implement supply chain strategies for both development and production proposals.
• Promote affordability initiatives and programs aimed at improving supplier performance.
• Escalate and resolve issues, risks, and roadblocks associated with materials.
• Assist in negotiating subcontracts with key suppliers and support strategic contract negotiations with suppliers.
• Establish baseline program plans for suppliers, including budget and schedule baselines.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to peers, customers, suppliers, and senior management.
• Function as the SC/MM representative and primary contact for customers regarding supply chain material program issues.
• Travel up to 10% to other facilities and supplier locations across the nation.
• A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant supply chain experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 2 years of related supply chain experience; alternatively, a minimum of 8 years of prior related supply chain experience without a degree.
• Understanding of supply chain management, lean manufacturing, assembly, and ATP processes.
• Capability to assess plans, processes, and results of the supporting team utilizing technical knowledge and experience.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies in the defense acquisition sector, including program planning, integrated master scheduling, budgeting, and earned value management.
• Proficient in implementing product design and development stage-gate processes.
• Experience in leading, mentoring, reviewing, and providing constructive feedback to team members.
• Ability to manage multiple activities concurrently and adapt plans in real time.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% to various facilities and supplier locations nationwide.
