This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of Systems & Formulary, which includes the development of SKU/formulary, state-by-state routing, and ensuring integration health across ordering and partner systems.
• Manage the partner-pharmacy network, encompassing relationships, capacity, pricing, sourcing, onboarding, and coverage across all 50 states.
• Oversee end-to-end order fulfillment, addressing exception resolution, carrier and cold-chain challenges, and handling returns.
• Drive turnaround SLAs within the fulfillment network while maintaining a balance of service, quality, and cost.
• Reengineer exception handling processes to minimize manual backlog.
• Collaborate daily with Product and Engineering teams to convert operational challenges into requirements and foster scalable tooling solutions.
• Redesign pharmacy order-flow and partner-side processes for scalability, including workflows for Patient Support and credentialing.
• Develop documentation and reference materials for SKU composition, temperature and handling specifications, and operational processes.
• Ensure operational readiness for new products and formulations, covering testing, state compliance, SKU development, and product launches.
• Collaborate with Quality & Compliance to prepare for audits and inspections under cGMP and state board oversight.
• Lead and nurture a multidisciplinary team across Systems & Formulary and Network & Fulfillment Operations.
• Recruit, evaluate performance, define responsibilities, and mitigate key-person risk.
• Advocate for automation and technology to enhance workflows and improve data collection.
• Report directly to the VP of Pharmacy Operations & Supply Chain and work closely with the Director of Demand & Supply Planning.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
• At least 8 years in operations, fulfillment, systems, or pharmacy operations is necessary.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in leading teams, including managing other managers or leads.
• Demonstrated people leadership skills in both analytical/systems and operational or vendor-facing teams.
• Experience in hiring, team building, and direct performance management.
• Proven success in scaling a high-volume operations or fulfillment function during periods of rapid growth.
• Experience in collaborating with Product or Engineering on operational tooling, focusing on requirements, prioritization, scope trade-offs, and validation.
• Proficiency in establishing processes, documentation, and repeatable systems.
• Experience managing a configuration, routing, or order-flow layer with direct consequences for customers or patients.
• Comfort in navigating order-routing, API, and integration environments.
• Experience in vendor and network management.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, flat-structured environment with multiple concurrent priorities.
• Preferred: Experience in a 503A compounding pharmacy or a background in pharmacy/healthcare/regulated industries.
• Preferred: Familiarity with pharmacy management systems and order-routing/API integration environments.
• Preferred: Experience in cold-chain or temperature-controlled fulfillment.
• Preferred: Background in continuous improvement or Lean methodologies, Six Sigma or similar, and experience with audits or inspections in regulated operations.
