This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Conduct visits to suppliers to assess product and process challenges.
• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and procurement, to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Evaluate supplier processes and planning to confirm adherence to purchase orders, engineering specifications, processes, and standards.
• Review and authorize supplier First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with AS9102.
• Perform visits to suppliers to conduct investigations and root cause analyses aimed at enhancing their processes.
• Take responsibility for the performance of assigned suppliers, ensuring they achieve a 100% quality rating.
• Actively participate in Early Supplier Engagement initiatives such as Post Award Reviews (PAR), Supplier Manufacturing Readiness Reviews, and Control Plan activities.
• Collaborate with suppliers to address concerns related to purchase order inspection packages.
• Research and report on supplier quality history as requested by quality engineering or Quality & Mission Assurance (Q&MA) management.
• Develop reporting documents to track supplier performance, non-conformance history, impact on the Company's Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ), and other assigned metrics.
• Engage in managing the supplier ratings and scorecard system, and oversee periodic performance review meetings.
• Conduct periodic source inspections at designated suppliers.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.
• Eligibility to obtain a US LEVEL Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant quality experience.
• Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of applicable quality experience.
• Alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of relevant quality experience without a degree.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel to regional suppliers up to 80% of the time.
