This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Assist in supply market analysis and the initial identification of suppliers for designated categories and sourcing projects.
• Conduct market research and provide insights on supply and demand trends, supplier capabilities, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies.
• Prepare, issue, and oversee RFx events; manage supplier communications and follow-ups to ensure clarity of business and technical requirements.
• Analyze supplier submissions, including pricing, commercial structures, and qualitative feedback, and create bid evaluation materials for category and business leadership.
• Execute reporting, data analysis, and scenario modeling to aid in supplier selection and sourcing recommendations.
• Process and summarize bid and supplier data to identify trends, risks, cost factors, and potential award scenarios.
• Assist in the formulation and implementation of category strategies for designated commodities or spending areas.
• Provide input for sourcing strategies and processes that align with category objectives and enterprise needs.
• Aid in sourcing initiatives such as supplier rationalization, direct negotiations, make-versus-buy analyses, vendor-managed inventory programs, inventory reduction efforts, and rebate opportunities.
• Utilize procurement analytics and sourcing tools to support negotiations and sourcing decisions, including should-cost analysis, price evaluation, scenario planning, benchmarking, and applicable eSourcing tools.
• Evaluate supplier capacity, lead times, capabilities, and competitive positioning to inform sourcing and supplier management choices.
• Assist in negotiations with strategic and preferred suppliers to optimize value across L3Harris and its affiliates.
• Support contract development and administration tasks, including coordination of additions, deletions, extensions, and modifications.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to aid in the creation of Statements of Work and supplier requirements in line with engineering, production, and quality standards.
• Assist in supplier relationship management activities by analyzing supplier performance, responsiveness, capacity, and strategic alignment.
• Maintain sourcing timelines and project milestones for designated initiatives, escalating delays, risks, and unresolved issues to category leadership as necessary.
• Ensure thorough documentation and adherence to relevant sourcing processes, policies, and procedures.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, Operations with 6 years of prior experience, OR a Graduate Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, Operations with 4 years of prior experience.
• If no degree, a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.
• At least 6 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain management, supplier management, contracts, category management, or a related business function.
• Proven experience in supporting or leading RFx development, execution, and supplier communication efforts.
• Experience in analyzing supplier bids, pricing, and commercial proposals to inform sourcing choices.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, production, quality, finance, legal, and/or program stakeholders.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a knack for interpreting data and formulating actionable recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other sourcing, ERP, or data analysis tools.
• Experience in the Aerospace & Defense (A&D) sector is preferred, with specific knowledge of FAR/DFAR regulations.
• Self-motivated and organized – capable of independently prioritizing tasks, fulfilling commitments, and striving for continuous improvement.
• Previous experience in supporting category management and strategic sourcing initiatives across multiple sites or business units.
• Familiarity with supply market analysis, should-cost modeling, price assessment, and sourcing scenario evaluation.
• Experience in supplier negotiations and contract development.
