This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +3 more states.
• Conduct research, write, and uphold clear, up-to-date, and practical legal content that aligns with market practices, customer requirements, and business objectives.
• Review and refine content produced by colleagues and external expert contributors.
• Track legal, practice, and market changes to ensure content remains accurate and pertinent.
• Aid in the development of customer-centric Thomson Reuters AI-driven legal solutions.
• Assist in the creation and implementation of internal AI editorial tools.
• Foster and sustain relationships with attorneys and industry associations.
• Support the broader Thomson Reuters team with specialized legal expertise.
• Collaborate with product management, sales, marketing, and technology departments as required.
• Juris Doctor degree.
• Active license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience as a Corporate and M&A attorney in a law firm or in-house environment.
• Significant experience advising companies on Corporate law involving cross-border transactions.
• Proficient in M&A, including drafting and negotiating merger agreements, stock/asset purchase agreements, financing, and related documents involving one or more non-US entities.
• Experience in company formation and governance, especially for non-US subsidiaries.
• Knowledge of joint ventures.
• Familiarity with investment matters.
• Excellent writing abilities.
• Capability to write about legal practices accurately, succinctly, and in accessible English.
• Proficient in working independently and within multi-jurisdictional teams.
• Strong technical skills, including effective utilization of generative AI technologies.
• Ability to adapt and be flexible when working on various projects within the generative AI field and emerging technologies.
• Inquisitive, adaptable, and open to change.
• Experience employing AI tools in legal work.
• Preferred familiarity with legal practice differences in non-US jurisdictions, particularly in Latin America.
• Writing sample required for candidates who progress to the second interview stage.
