Senior Solutions Engineer – Enterprise

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with account teams to spearhead technical discovery and evaluate customer environments, pinpointing infrastructure requirements and transformation prospects.

• Create, present, and enhance customized infrastructure solutions that align with customer business objectives, technical needs, and financial considerations.

• Manage the technical pre-sales lifecycle for assigned opportunities, encompassing solution design, validation, and customer presentations.

• Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with OEMs and technology allies.

• Act as a trusted advisor to customers and IT leadership regarding technology strategy and modernization efforts.

• Lead technical training and enablement programs for sales teams.

• Propel pipeline growth by identifying, qualifying, and advancing solution opportunities.

• Design and deliver solution presentations, demonstrations, and technical workshops.

• Provide mentorship to junior Solutions Engineers.

• Work in conjunction with services, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure solution feasibility and a smooth transition.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience is necessary.

• At least 5 years of experience in a comparable role.

• Willingness to travel to SHI, partner, and customer events.

• Strong practical experience with data center infrastructure, hybrid cloud, virtualization, and modern compute/storage platforms.

• In-depth knowledge of hypervisors, Docker, Kubernetes, and software-defined data centers.

• Capability to design and position solutions across Data Center, AWS/Azure Cloud, Networking, and Security domains.

• Familiarity with Dell, HPE, Cisco, NetApp, Pure Storage, VMware, Nutanix, Veeam, and public cloud platforms.

• Understanding of disaster recovery, business continuity, and high-availability architectures.

• Ability to translate intricate technical concepts into business value propositions.

• Experience in supporting pre-sales environments, including solution demonstrations, POCs, and technical validations.

• Advanced certification in mainstream technologies is preferred.
