Senior Solutions Engineer – Cybersecurity, Network Security Sales

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Actively lead technical discovery discussions to assess and confirm customer requirements and use cases, ensuring the development of a bill of materials that fulfills customer needs and aligns with desired outcomes.

• Deliver technical sales presentations and demonstrate products and solutions from the SonicWall portfolio to audiences ranging from 1 to 100 individuals, keeping both partners and customers updated on our latest solutions and industry developments.

• Communicate and showcase SonicWall's unique value proposition while being knowledgeable about our key competitive offerings in the market.

• Establish a minimum of 10 trusted relationships with channel partners, conducting regular meetings with their technical decision-makers.

• Create and maintain a personal lab for the most frequent demo requests and for personal development purposes.

• Assist in remote partner product trials.

• Serve as the technical lead for proof of concept engagements, whether with a partner or directly with a customer.

• Engage in beta testing and provide feedback on products while collaborating with the product management teams.

• Collaborate with support teams as necessary to maintain relationships with partners and customers.

• Support key technical marketing initiatives by creating collateral and presenting at virtual or external events.

• Develop expertise at a proof of concept level across 3-6 SonicWall product areas, becoming a subject matter expert and point of contact for the region.

• Share best practices with colleagues.

• Provide assistance for onboarding new solutions engineers.

• Keep the regional sales team informed about roadmap insights, product updates, and technical best practices.

• Follow company values, guidelines, and regional reporting tasks related to solution engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Typically requires at least 8+ years of experience in a Presales/Solution Engineering role or a similar position.

• Cyber Security CISSP Certification is essential.

• Microsoft Azure or AWS Associate certification is preferred.

• Retain specialized knowledge across SonicWall products to the required level.

• SNSA & SNSP SonicWall Certification*Training will be provided.

• Familiarity with governance and compliance issues, as well as management/reporting solutions and requirements. Working knowledge of HIPAA, PCI, SOX, FERPA, CIPA, GDPR, etc., is required.

• Experience with a comprehensive range of L2-L7 networking technologies and protocols, including NAT, stateful firewall, IDS/IPS, web and content filtering, proxies, endpoint security, SSE, SASE, Cloud Security, email security gateways, VPN and encryption (IPsec/SSL), PKI and key management, 802.11/WLAN, Syslog, NetFlow/IPFIX, Active Directory and LDAP, as well as reading, interpreting, and creating scripts, regular expressions, and/or custom signatures. Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, and Azure is also necessary.

• Experience with Managed Security Services, XDR, and MDR is a plus.
