Senior Solutions Engineer – AI Natives Business

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical guidance that assists customers in understanding how Databricks can address their business challenges.

• Advise on Big Data architectures, execute proof of concepts for key initiatives, which include data engineering, data science and machine learning, as well as SQL analysis workflows.

• Work together with other Solutions Architects, leveraging your expertise to support one another and the users.

• Develop expertise in, advocate for, and enlist contributors to Databricks-inspired open-source projects (Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow) within the developer community.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in a data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or comparable pre-sales/consulting position.

• Proven experience in building distributed data systems.

• Proficient in programming and debugging in Python and SQL.

• Experience creating solutions with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Specialized knowledge in one of the following areas:

• Data Engineering technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka)

• Data Science and Machine Learning technologies (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, Tensorflow)

• Willingness to travel to customer locations within your region.

• [Preferred] Degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research).
