This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Lead technical discovery sessions, demonstrations, and validations to showcase how GitLab's AI-enhanced DevSecOps platform fulfills customers' technical and business requirements throughout the entire lifecycle.
• Oversee the technical evaluation process as the primary responsible individual, which includes solution design, ownership of POC/POV, workshop creation, and handling the technical elements of tenders, audits, and value stream assessments.
• Work in collaboration with Account Executives and regional sales teams across Northern Europe to develop and implement account strategies that facilitate new customer acquisition and growth.
• Establish and strengthen relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders, guiding them through transformations driven by GitLab and enabling them to become advocates for GitLab.
• Provide expert advice to customers on contemporary software development, continuous integration, continuous deployment, security, and cloud practices, challenging traditional methods to enhance return on investment.
• Act as the customer representative within Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing by relaying feedback, use cases, and competitive insights that shape the roadmap and positioning.
• Maintain and enhance your technical knowledge in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and related cloud technologies, creating reusable examples, best practice guidance, and technical resources for customers and partners.
• Commit to your own growth and development through continuous learning, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to elevate the contributions of the Solutions Architect team.
• 4+ years of experience interacting with customers in technical pre-sales, consulting, or similar roles, assisting them in solution design and evaluation.
• Expertise in the complete software development lifecycle, including modern DevSecOps methodologies and continuous integration and deployment processes.
• Practical experience with GitLab or similar source control, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms, along with the capability to align platform features with customer use cases.
• Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and associated technologies, enabling discussions around deployment, security, and operational options with technical teams.
• Capability to lead technical evaluations such as proofs of concept or proofs of value, contribute to tenders or audits, and design and execute workshops or value stream assessments.
• Strong technical communication and presentation abilities, with the skill to tailor messages for audiences ranging from practitioners to senior business and technical decision-makers.
• Proficiency in cultivating trusted relationships, listening with empathy, and acting as a customer advocate to internal teams including Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.
• Drive to continually advance professionally, including acquiring new technologies, deepening expertise in the GitLab platform, and leveraging transferable experience from related fields.
