Senior Solutions Delivery Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the delivery efforts within the India Solutions Delivery Engineering team to enhance engagement quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices.

• Serve as an escalation point for complex or high-stakes engagements, guiding resolution while adhering to the established service scope.

• Mentor and support fellow Solutions Delivery Engineers in the region through delivery evaluations, knowledge sharing, and peer mentorship.

• Contribute to the enhancement of service templates, delivery standards, and internal documentation to promote consistency and scalability.

• Share insights from deliveries and identify recurring patterns with cross-functional partners to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Act as a communication conduit for regional delivery matters, consolidating updates, risks, and escalations for review with the Solutions Delivery Engineering manager.

• Occasional travel may be necessary for specific customer engagements or internal activities.

• Deliver Sonatype service offerings in accordance with defined scope, success criteria, and delivery standards, encompassing implementation, configuration, and structured customer guidance.

• Assist with product-focused migration efforts by executing data and configuration tasks, validating completion, and ensuring alignment with target state requirements.

• Provide product-specific guidance, identify potential issues or risks, present available solutions, and troubleshoot within the scope of engagement.

• Oversee engagement timelines, manage expectations, facilitate communication and documentation, and lead working sessions, reviews, and customer discussions.

• Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, Support, and Product Management, sharing field insights that contribute to product and service enhancements.

• Maintain accurate plans, validation records, and engagement materials, ensuring comprehensive handoffs to internal teams and documenting activities for traceability and continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• You are a US Citizen.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, software delivery, or a related field.

• Proficient in repository management, artifact workflows, CI and CD tools, containers, and orchestration.

• Familiar with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, modern build ecosystems, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Capable of working with Groovy, Bash, Python, Helm, or YAML as required.

• Strong ability to lead customer engagements with effective communication, documentation, and accountability.

• Proven experience in providing delivery leadership, peer guidance, or escalation support within a regional or team-based delivery environment.

• Nice to Have: Experience with migration or modernization initiatives.

• Nice to Have: Exposure to enterprise DevOps, software security, or supply chain practices.

• Nice to Have: Experience working with global, cross-functional teams.

• Nice to Have: Familiarity with SaaS delivery models or cloud-based deployment strategies.
