This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Korea.
• Design and present solution demonstrations that showcase the technical capabilities and value of Planet’s offerings, addressing customer business needs.
• Establish strong relationships with customers' technical and management teams as a trusted business advisor.
• Serve as a senior technical advisor to recommend architectural solutions that align with customer business challenges.
• Develop technical responses for tenders, RFI’s/RFP’s, and unsolicited proposals concerning Planet’s products and services.
• Collaborate with sales team members to design and implement the technical strategy for customer and prospect account plans, influencing account engagement and success.
• Work with internal cross-functional teams, including Customer Success, Product Management, and Business Development, to represent the customer’s voice and assist in RFP and RFI preparations and submissions.
• Achieve quarterly and annual sales and operational targets set by management.
• Advocate for Planet's Defense and Intelligence customers with Sales leadership by sharing forecasts, pipeline opportunities, deal reviews, CRM data, and customer insights.
• Capable of presenting to key executive stakeholders within the South Korean Government.
• Mentor team members and lead training initiatives to support their professional growth.
• Over 6 years of technical experience in supporting or working within the South Korean defense and intelligence sector.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• Willingness to travel, including internationally, up to 50% of the time.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Professional working proficiency in English, the primary language of the company.
• Experience collaborating with GIS and Remote Sensing users in the Defense industry.
• Prior experience in IMINT, ISR, and related fields is preferred.
• Familiarity with QGIS, SocetGXP, ArcGIS, GDAL, Python, and other common geospatial software and programming languages, along with emerging technologies such as AI/ML.
• Proven experience in designing and presenting intricate systems and solutions that reconcile business challenges with technology to fulfill organizational objectives, budget considerations, and scalability requirements.
• Effective communication and coordination skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Competence in processing imagery, manipulating geospatial data, interacting with APIs, and constructing data pipelines.
• Capability to lead technical engagements with customers.
• Experience in conducting workshops or training sessions for users.
• Required to obtain and maintain eligibility for a South Korean security clearance.
