This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Lead, mentor, and enhance the capabilities of Sales Engineering managers and teams, fostering a robust culture centered on technical excellence, teamwork, and customer orientation, including teams that support public sector and healthcare clients.
• Develop and implement the regional Sales Engineering strategy in alignment with Cohesity’s Data Security and cyber resilience offerings, customized for SLED and healthcare sectors considering segment-specific needs and funding factors.
• Guarantee a uniform, high-standard presales engagement throughout the region, encompassing technical discovery, demonstrations, workshops, and proofs of concept, tailored to intricate regulatory and compliance-driven purchasing scenarios.
• Serve as a senior technical consultant for complex, high-stakes engagements, shaping long-term architecture and cyber resilience strategies, and providing solutions that adhere to public sector and healthcare regulatory frameworks.
• Oversee RFPs, RFIs, and strategic proposals, ensuring unique technical positioning and adept navigation through public sector procurement processes and contracting methods.
• Collaborate closely with Sales leadership to promote pipeline expansion and deal execution, including long-term, multi-year SLED and healthcare opportunities in line with budget timelines and funding cycles.
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Channel, and Professional Services to ensure solutions align with customer needs, including compliance with regulations such as HIPAA, CJIS, FERPA, and state-level mandates.
• Advocate for customer and field requirements within Product Management, influencing roadmap priorities and improvements based on the security, compliance, and cyber resilience needs of the public sector and healthcare sectors.
• Cultivate and support partner ecosystem alignment, collaborating with system integrators and partners focused on the public sector to enhance solution delivery and technical outreach.
• Establish operational rhythms, technical standards, and governance to effectively scale the Sales Engineering organization while ensuring uniformity across regulated sectors.
• Significant experience leading Sales Engineering managers and teams in a competitive technological landscape, including experience within SLED and/or healthcare segments.
• Profound knowledge in enterprise security, cyber resilience, ransomware recovery, and compliance environments, including regulatory requirements pertinent to public sector and healthcare (HIPAA, CJIS, FERPA, etc.).
• Strong grasp of presales methodologies and the capability to scale technical engagement within intricate, compliance-focused settings.
• Proven track record of influencing executive stakeholders (CIO, CISO, CTO) and steering long-term technical strategies within multi-stakeholder public sector and regulated enterprise contexts.
• Experience in managing complex, high-value projects that involve RFP/RFI processes, procurement challenges, and multi-year funding models common in SLED.
• Demonstrated capacity to collaborate across functions and synchronize global teams towards shared objectives in highly matrixed organizations.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM.
• Experience utilizing AI tools, data, and insights to enhance productivity, decision-making, and operational scalability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to articulate complex technical and strategic ideas clearly to senior audiences.
