This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Collaborate with Ecosystem Sales Managers and partner sales leaders to design and implement Partner Activation Plans that enhance partner-sourced pipeline and foster GitLab adoption.
• Take charge of the technical components of partner activation, which includes creating and presenting demos, reference architectures, and workshops that promote contribution, commitment, and capability activation.
• Act as the Directly Responsible Individual for partner technical activation plans, ensuring that technical risks and gaps are recognized, resolved, and aligned with the goals of GitLab, partners, and customers.
• Develop and sustain robust relationships with technical and business stakeholders at partner organizations to facilitate their transition from awareness to actively engaging in high-value activities such as deal registrations and solution development.
• Serve as the partner advocate within internal teams by providing field feedback and insights to Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Partner Enablement, influencing the roadmap and programs.
• Must be based in India and authorized to work in India (Bangalore, Mumbai, or Delhi).
• Experienced at a senior level in technical pre-sales, Solutions Architect, or sales engineering; capable of guiding stakeholders through solution design and assessment.
• Skilled in the complete software development lifecycle, modern DevSecOps methodologies, and CI/CD workflows; hands-on experience with GitLab or a similar source-control/CI-CD/DevSecOps platform, with the ability to align platform capabilities with customer use cases.
• Proven experience in working with or holding leadership roles within India-based GSIs — whether in a partner-facing or delivery/practice capacity.
• Proficient in channel, cloud, and partner ecosystems: understands partner-sourced motions, deal registration, co-selling, and services-led go-to-market strategies — not solely a direct sales background.
• Communicates effectively from practitioner to executive levels; can manage a technical activation plan as the Directly Responsible Individual.
