Senior Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee the event-driven architecture;

• Ensure platform governance, including deployment, administration, monitoring, and maintenance of Confluent Kafka clusters;

• Create and configure resources such as topics, Schema Registry, KSQL, and Kafka Connect;

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance the performance of Kafka clusters to guarantee low latency and high resilience;

• Offer technical support and training to internal teams regarding best practices and usage of Confluent Kafka;

• Develop scripts and automation processes to manage Kafka infrastructure while ensuring high availability and scalability;

• Generate comprehensive documentation for the architecture, deployment procedures, and operational protocols;

• Establish architecture and development standards, including documentation, best practices, and design patterns;

• Define and enforce security policies, including access profiles, roles, and authentication methods;

• Collaborate with internal teams to discover opportunities for leveraging the platform;

• Manage cost controls (FinOps).

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing Confluent Kafka and its components, such as Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, and Schema Registry;

• Proficient in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP;

• Strong understanding of distributed systems architecture and real-time data management;

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Dynatrace and Grafana;

• Familiarity with messaging protocols and queuing systems, including Apache Kafka and RabbitMQ;

• Capability to resolve complex issues and deliver effective solutions promptly;

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams;

• Experience in defining architecture and development standards;

• Ability to analyze intricate issues related to data integrations and implement effective solutions;

• Experience in event stream processing using Kafka Streams or other event-processing tools;

• Desirable: Confluent certifications such as Confluent Certified Developer or Confluent Certified Administrator.
