Senior Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Act as the senior authority on SAP data migration from the client's perspective; collaborate with the System Integrator's data lead as a technical counterpart.

• Evaluate and challenge the System Integrator's data migration strategy, pushing back when the approach involves unnecessary risks, costs, or operational burdens.

• Provide guidance on migration architecture decisions tailored to greenfield S/4HANA from non-SAP systems (such as Oracle EBS, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, and custom systems), including source-to-target data model mapping and legacy-concept to SAP-concept translation.

• Offer input on tool selection when the System Integrator's strategy remains flexible, assessing trade-offs related to fit, cost, timeline, and compliance with regulated industry standards.

• Facilitate hands-on coordination and execution of tasks.

• Oversee daily execution coordination of the client-side data workstream across all areas.

• Maintain the migration task plan, proactively flagging any delays and driving solutions.

• Serve as the primary contact for the System Integrator's data migration team, monitoring integrator deliverables and escalating any delays as necessary.

• Conduct regular working sessions with client data owners and the integrator's team; follow up on open actions, decisions, and deliverables between meetings.

• Establish and monitor data cleansing standards across various domains against agreed-upon quality thresholds; ensure that the System Integrator's quality criteria align with S/4HANA go-live requirements.

• Collaborate with business data owners to keep cleansing efforts on track; resolve issues with the appropriate stakeholders rather than escalating unnecessarily.

• Identify data quality risks that the System Integrator may overlook (such as missing legacy concepts, silent data loss during transformation, and cross-domain dependencies) before they escalate into critical issues.

• Organize and monitor mock load cycles across all domains.

• Independently review reconciliation results apart from the System Integrator.

• Ensure that business teams complete validation tasks within designated cycle windows and that any findings are acted upon.

• Guarantee that data migration activities adhere to the organization's data classification policy and relevant regulatory requirements throughout the processes of extraction, staging, transformation, and loading.

• Manage the data migration cutover plan; coordinate extraction and load scheduling in collaboration with the System Integrator and technical teams.

• Prepare data readiness inputs for go/no-go decisions and provide informed, independent risk assessments to program leadership.

• Assist with hyper care on data-related issues post go-live.

• Support migration status reporting and RAID logging for program leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and over 15 years of experience leading enterprise SAP data migration workstreams, including at least 4 full-lifecycle S/4HANA programs delivered from start to finish.

• Must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government-issued clearance, if necessary.

• Experience managing the data workstream within a major System Integrator on large-scale and complex programs, followed by advisory roles on the client side.

• Extensive hands-on experience migrating data from non-SAP sources into SAP.

• Comprehensive enterprise migration experience covering Finance (FI/CO), Supply Chain (MM, SD, PP, WM), HR/HCM, Plant Maintenance/EAM, and Master Data (business partner, material, customer, vendor).

• Proficient in multiple migration toolsets.

• Proven commitment to ensuring delivery quality.

• Comfortable engaging with System Integrator leadership as a peer.
