This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Collaborate with research universities and institutes to jointly develop innovative HPC and AI solutions utilizing NVIDIA’s advanced computing platform.
• Work alongside engineering, product, and business teams to ensure NVIDIA’s technical roadmap aligns with the changing strategies and intricate workflows of the scientific and engineering research communities.
• Engage with developers and researchers to design pioneering solutions in fields such as computational physics, multiphysics simulation, engineering design exploration, and the next generation of Scientific Foundation Models.
• Assist researchers in transitioning from high-fidelity simulation data to AI-enhanced workflows, which include surrogate models, neural operators, physics-informed models, reduced-order models, differentiable simulation, and real-time inference.
• Analyze and optimize the performance of scientific applications, AI training, and inference workloads to ensure that sophisticated research workflows fully utilize accelerated systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• BS, MS, or PhD in Computational Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Over 8 years of practical experience in accelerated computing and a solid understanding of parallel computing with GPUs.
• Experience in porting and/or optimizing scientific or engineering applications for GPUs.
• Strong foundation in programming and software design, particularly in Python and C++.
• Familiarity with computational physics or engineering simulation workflows, which includes numerical methods, model validation, uncertainty/error analysis, or simulation-data pipelines.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the theory and practice of AI at scale, particularly as it pertains to scientific, simulation, or physics-based workloads.
