Senior Solution Consultant – Public Sector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Implement the pre-sales framework through both virtual and in-person meetings, discovery sessions, whiteboarding, product demonstrations, and identifying client needs.

• Showcase Workiva’s capabilities in Financial Reporting, GRC, and Sustainability Reporting.

• Adapt Public Sector requirements into customized Workiva solutions.

• Collaborate with Sales on territory strategies, account planning, and opportunity initiatives.

• Perform process evaluations, create proofs of concept, and present business cases along with demonstration assets.

• Work alongside implementation partners and Client Services to facilitate onboarding and ensure long-term customer satisfaction.

• Generate new use cases and utilize templates to illustrate solution impact and value.

• Offer cross-domain coaching, share best practices, and mentor colleagues on intricate solution designs.

• Engage with Sales, Specialists, Product Marketing, Partners, CPX, Scoping, Product, and other cross-functional teams.

• Create multi-year Success Blueprints and take part in journey-mapping workshops to enhance platform adoption.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 6 years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education and related career experience.

• Familiarity with Public Sector assured financial reporting across Federal, State, and Local government sectors.

• Expertise in governmental workflows, regulations, and applicable use cases.

• Hands-on experience in government accounting and in the preparation and analysis of complex financial statements adhering to GASB, FASAB, and FASB standards.

• Strong capability to apply GAAP guidance operationally.

• Practical experience with SaaS architectures, API integration, and cloud technology platforms such as ERP, FP&A, and GRC.

• Proficient in executing enterprise sales strategies and building relationships with Technical Decision Makers and Enterprise Architects.

• Experienced in conducting technical evaluations, stakeholder mapping, whiteboarding, business-needs discovery, and value-driven demonstrations.

• Proficient in AI, including the ability to assess AI outputs for accuracy and bias.

• Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.

• Must have reliable internet access while working remotely.

• Must be authorized to work permanently in the U.S.

• CPA or CGFM certifications are strongly preferred.
