Senior Solution Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive indirect tax and technology knowledge throughout the sales process

• Lead presentations of ONESOURCE Indirect Tax solutions and serve as the regional subject matter expert for the DACH region

• Advocate ONESOURCE solutions to tax, finance, and IT teams, reaching up to Head of Tax, CFO, and CIO levels

• Manage solution strategy for intricate, multi-country, and strategic opportunities

• Oversee customer prospects, identify tax process challenges, and assist with proposals and business cases

• Facilitate solution demonstrations, discovery workshops, and proofs of value in both German and English

• Provide virtual and in-person presentations throughout Europe

• Utilize expertise in indirect tax compliance, e-invoicing, digital reporting, business processes, and operations

• Ensure a seamless client experience throughout the sales and delivery processes

• Lead responses to RFPs and tenders, including submissions in German

• Represent Thomson Reuters at customer events, industry conferences, webinars, and through thought leadership initiatives

• Collaborate with Sales leadership on territory and account strategies

• Act as the product expert for ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Compliance and Determination in the DACH and Europe regions

• Create and maintain demo data, environments, scripts, and product documentation

• Develop technical resources and provide product and industry training to Sales teams

• Work alongside Sales to meet sales objectives

• Partner with Marketing on white papers, webinars, events, conferences, and DACH-specific initiatives

• Collaborate with Product Management on industry trends, field insights, capability improvements, and future developments

• Mentor and guide Solution Consultants across Europe

• Contribute to Solution Consulting playbooks, demo resources, enablement materials, and operational practices

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in Indirect Tax / VAT

• Proven expertise in indirect tax technology, including tax determination engines and/or VAT compliance and reporting software

• Understanding of complex indirect tax supply chain transactions and their VAT implications

• Familiarity with Indirect AP and AR processes and standard filing obligations

• Strong knowledge of SAP ECC / S/4HANA, Oracle, and/or similar financial systems

• Insight into tax engine integration points and document flow requirements for POs and invoices in B2B and B2C contexts

• Capability to present to senior and C-level stakeholders and convey value propositions effectively

• Strong negotiation, complex problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities

• Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and thrive in an agile environment

• Adaptable to changing circumstances and able to navigate dynamic settings

• Excellent collaboration, teamwork, and relationship-building skills

• Resourceful, highly organized self-starter capable of managing multiple priorities

• Familiarity with AI tools and emerging technologies

• Proven ability to mentor and develop others while leading through influence

• A Bachelor’s degree and/or professional qualification in Accounting or Tax

• Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken; fluency in German is essential

• Significant experience (typically 8+ years) in indirect tax and/or indirect tax technology, including client-facing, consulting, or pre-sales roles
