This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services utilizing C#/.NET/AWS to manage high-volume healthcare EDI transactions, including 837 and 835.
• Parse, validate, and convert X12 EDI documents.
• Troubleshoot transaction-level issues across various payers, clearinghouses, and trading partners.
• Write, enhance, and debug SQL stored procedures, focusing on performance optimization, query analysis, and intricate data transformations.
• Query, analyze, and manipulate structured XML data within MSSQL.
• Produce clean, testable, and well-documented code while engaging in code reviews.
• Contribute to shared platform libraries and services across diverse product initiatives.
• Engage in technical planning, requirements definition, and testing strategies with team members and stakeholders.
• Attend daily software development stand-ups.
• Deploy and maintain applications, ensuring performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Offer development support for solutions deployed in production environments.
• Develop reusable long-term solutions and foundational components within an agile framework.
• Advocate for and implement software engineering best practices.
• Utilize development tools such as Visual Studio and Git.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or a related engineering or technical field is mandatory.
• At least 8 years of software development experience using C#/.NET technologies.
• Demonstrated history of working on complex software projects and leading development efforts.
• Experience in designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-level applications.
• Strong expertise in the C#/.NET ecosystem.
• Proficient in developing back-end applications utilizing design and integration patterns.
• Preferred hands-on experience with AWS (serverless, messaging, storage, databases).
• Strong SQL proficiency, including writing and optimizing stored procedures, troubleshooting execution plans, and performance tuning in MSSQL.
• Experienced with Git and GitHub.
• Familiarity with MSSQL or comparable relational databases.
• Skilled in database design and development, including SQL Server and Entity Framework.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS, along with their services.
• Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools like AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks and tools such as NUnit, xUnit, and MSTest.
• Proficient in both Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code.
• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a large team.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and effectively manage time using JIRA.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Ability to conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Experience with application performance tuning and optimization.
• Knowledge of microservices, event-driven architecture, and containerization technologies like Docker, ECS, and EKS is a plus.
• Experience with healthcare payer/PBM systems, clearinghouses, or pharmacy operations is a plus.
