Senior Software Quality Engineer – SaaS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance QA processes on an ongoing basis

• Set up testing standards and best practices

• Formulate risk-based testing strategies

• Drive quality metrics and reporting initiatives

• Enhance release confidence and production stability

• Create comprehensive test plans and test cases

• Conduct exploratory testing

• Perform regression testing

• Validate intricate business workflows

• Accurately reproduce and document defects

• Design and implement automated testing frameworks

• Develop and maintain UI automation suites

• Create and sustain API automation suites

• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines

• Observe and enhance automation coverage and reliability

• Test REST APIs using tools such as Postman

• Confirm authentication, authorization, and error handling

• Generate automated API regression suites

• Analyze API logs and payloads

• Verify application data against underlying databases

• Conduct data reconciliation across systems

• Investigate production issues utilizing SQL

• Validate integrations and ETL processes

• Establish repeatable validation processes

• Create and maintain:

• Test Plans

• QA Processes

• Release Validation Checklists

• Regression Suites

• Status Reports

• Defect Documentation

• Collaborate closely with developers during feature delivery

• Engage in design and requirements reviews

• Facilitate bug triage discussions

• Clearly communicate quality risks to stakeholders

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of QA experience within SaaS products

• Proven track record of owning quality for complex web applications

• Strong experience in manual testing

• Solid background in test automation

• Experience in API testing

• Proficient SQL skills

• Familiarity with Agile environments

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities

• Experience with automation tools such as:

• Playwright

• Cypress

• Selenium

• TestCafe

• Experience with API tools including:

• Postman

• Swagger/OpenAPI

• REST APIs

• Data validation experience with:

• SQL Server

• PostgreSQL

• MySQL

• Ability to write queries

• Compare datasets

• Validate business calculations

• Investigate data discrepancies

• Preferred Experience: AI-Enabled QA experience using AI tools to enhance quality processes, such as:

• AI-assisted test case generation

• AI-assisted automation creation

• AI-assisted bug analysis

• AI-assisted regression identification

• AI-assisted documentation generation

• AI-assisted exploratory testing

• SaaS experience with:

• B2B SaaS platforms

• Enterprise software

• Multi-tenant applications

• Authentication / SSO systems

• Complex business workflows
