QA Software Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Create, document, and implement both manual and automated test cases.

• Detect, document, and monitor defects using defect tracking software.

• Conduct regression, functional, integration, and performance testing.

• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to grasp requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Assess software requirements and technical specifications for clarity and testability.

• Engage in sprint planning and help enhance the quality assurance processes.

• Confirm fixes and ensure that resolved issues align with expected outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Demonstrated experience as a QA Tester or in a comparable quality assurance position.

• Familiarity with testing tools such as JIRA.

• Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and Agile methodologies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

• Exceptional communication and documentation skills.

• **Preferred:**

• Experience in API testing and automation frameworks.

• Basic understanding of SQL and version control systems (e.g., Git).

• ISTQB or similar certification is advantageous.
